RANA - Rajnikanth First look Poster

Forthcoming Tamil historical action film, co-written and directed by K. S. Ravikumar. The film will be jointly produced by Ocher Picture Productions and Eros International. The film will feature cinematography by R. Rathnavelu and music composed by A. R. Rahman. Filming will commence on April 2011 and is expected to be simultaneously made in Hindi and dubbed in Telugu all three of which are slated for release in 2012.

Starring Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood, Ileana D'Cruz

Endhiran Collections for the 1st week in India. (as at 10/10/2010)

Tamilnadu: Rs. 60 crores
Andhra Pradesh: Rs. 30 crores
Karnataka: Rs. 8 crores
Kerala: Rs. 4 crores
North India: Rs. 15 crores


Overseas:-
The film opened in 300 screens overseas.
1) It was the first Tamil film to be screened at Colosseum Kino in Oslo, Norway.

2) In Malaysia, Endhiran grossed $1 million in the first week from 100 screens.

3) In the United Arab Emirates, Endhiran grossed $301,000 in the first weekend while Robot grossed $86,000.

4) In the United Kingdom, Enthiran was released by Ayngaran International while Robot was released by B4U Network. In the first weekend, Endhiran opened at 11th place in the UK collecting £295,148 from 30 cinemas while Robot (Hindi) opened at No.21 collecting £62,134 from 41 cinemas.

Endhiran Release Date Worldwide – October 1st, 2010

It is official that the release of Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Endhiran(Robo) has been confirmed to be October 1 in India and across the world including USA, UK, Europe,Malaysia, Singapore and Australia.

Sun Pictures, a division of Sun TV Network, in a statement said: “The film will now release in theatres in India and across the world including USA, UK, Europe,Malaysia, Singapore and Australi on October 1 in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages.”

"One should follow Rajinikanth to learn punctuality and dedication"

The veteran filmmaker Shankar who has worked with superstar Rajinikanth for the films 'Sivaji the Boss' and 'Endhiran' is heaping laurels on the legend actor.

He says "One should follow Rajinikanth to learn punctuality and dedication. He is a man of perfection. Many asked me how I could make a sci-fi film with Rajini in the lead as he is known for mass movies. My answer to them is anything is possible when Rajini sir is around because, he has that mass appeal."

Shankar further says "Rajini was always punctual to work," Shankar says and adds: "If the schedule is at 8.30 in the morning, he would arrive at the spot early in the morning itself. Popularity sits very lightly on his shoulders."

He adds more "It would take almost six hours to do the makeup. But Rajini would wait with all patience. I salute his commitment and determination. He is one of the most comfortable heroes I've worked with."

Endhiran "The Robot" audio launch in Kuala Lumpur

Rajnikanth's next 'Endhiran' alongside Aishwarya Rai directed by ace director Shankar will have it's audio release at Malaysia. The film has Six songs composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman.The star studded event will be held at Kuala Lumpur on July 31st.

The event will have some big shots of Indian film industry.The film which has just one more song to be filmed will soon be on the big screen.

Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai starrer director Shankar's much expected mega budget film 'Robo' release is likely to be postponed for the festival of Deepavali or December.

Dissappointing the fans of Rajinikanth, it was revealed that a lot of post production works of nearly with more than 300 special effects has to be done and even sudden plan of 3D effects will also be the reason for the prolongation and delay of the film for a long period.

So, finally it was said that Rajini's 'Robo' may hit the big screens on the festive of Deepavali or in December.
