VAANAM the cable guy - Cast Simbu and Anushka

Already it is reported to our viewers that the critically acclaimed Telugu film 'Vedam' directed by Krish is all set to be remade in Tamil soon and Simbu is going to play Allu Arjun's role 'Cable Raju' in Tamil version along with Manoj, Anushka and Nagayya in the same roles as they did in Telugu version.

It is also said that the Tamil version has been titled as 'Vaanam' and RB Chowdhary's son Jithan Ramesh will be producing the Tamil version and producing it on 'Super Good Films' banner. Now the latest news is that the film was launched unofficially on Saturday, 10th of this month and the regular shooting of the film will be commencing from today.

Sources say that Simbu is doing this new project in simultaneously with his earlier project 'Poda Podi'.

Silambarasan gearing up for Poda Podi

After getting through vivid confusions over choosing his next project, Silambarasan has finally zeroed down on Poda Podi. Touted to be a breezy romantic entertainer, the film's photo shoot was held before few months with Bollywood's most happening photographer Daboo Ratnani clicking promotional pictures.

With accordance to heavy snowfall in Canada, Silambarasan had shelved the film's shooting and took on with Gautham Menon's Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya. Much prior to this film's release, he had plans about commencing his own directorial Valiban, which was supposed to be produced by SS Chakravarthy of Nic Arts.

On the spur moment, his plans were changed as SS Chakravarthy got himself involved in two projects (featuring his son Johnny of Renigunta in lead role) at the same time. With no options left, Simbhu has now decided to kick-start Poda Podi that will feature Sarath Kumar's daughter Varalakshmi in female lead.

His closer sources have revealed that soon after completing this project, Simbhu will sing Mani Ratnam's untitled film, which is set to be simultaneously made in Hindi and Tamil. The Hindi version featuring Vivek Oberoi in lead will have Mani Ratnam's associate wielding the megaphone while the Mani himself will direct Silambarasan with Raj Kiran performing a prominent role.

Actress Trisha says nothing wrong in kissing Simbhu

There are some kissing scenes between Trisha and Simbhu in the film Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya. When asked Trish whether she would continue to act in the kissing scenes, she said," There is no problem for me to act in kissing scenes. Since the story demanded it, I kissed Simbhu.

There is nothing wrong in it. This kind of scenes depends on the story and director's wish. I act according to the director's command. Now I have reached a stage in cinema. It is not correct to say that I will not act in kissing scenes or in swim suit dresses.
Lots of appreciations are heaping on me through e mails about my character in Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya. I have acted in many films but I have not received so many appreciations as this film. Character like Jessie is a very rare thing to happen.

They wanted me to pair with Ravi Teja in a Telugu film. I also agreed. But lot of call sheet was required. Hence I pointed out that I had other films to act. So I walked out of this film. I never knew that Shreya was signed for this film.
Kamal called me and explained me about my character in the film Yaavarum Kelir. I will be seen differently in this film. My costumes are being different. A new costume designer is designing dresses for me. Kamal is a very perfect person. He is well equipped before the shooting commences. I am acting in the Hindi film Katta Meeta in Mumbai. Most of the shooting has been completed."

Problems created by lovers among themselves are one thing while problems created by others to these lovers are another thing. But what happens if both these takes place in a romance. Simbhu frequently asks," Why should I love Jessie when there are so many other girls". This question may be asked by many youngsters or their friends in real life. The amazing romance, confusions and the pain has been narrated in a beautiful way.

Simbhu dons the role of Karthik. He who completes engineering aspires to become an assistant film director. Simbhu goes as a tenant to a house whose owner is the father of the Malayalee girl Jessie. Trisha who dons the role of Jessie works in Infosys. Karthik seeing Jessie loses his heart to her. At one point he decides that his love will not work out and tries to at least try to become a friend of Jessie. This friendship ultimately turns out to be love. But Jessie gets scared and confused about her parents. She confuses Karthik also and finally deiced to settle with the person arranged by her family. Whether Karthi and Jessie reunite is the rest of the story to be seen on the silver screen.

Simbhu as Karthik is not a boy who can show tricks by hand. His maturity can be well seen in this film. Let it be when he falls in instant love with Jessie or the way he wanders to make his love a success are really captivating. In a scene he follows Jessie to KFC. When he comes near Jessie, she asks whether he was following her. He in turn says that she is following him. Jessie says her office is here. He in turn says that KFC is also here. He watches Jessie walking. When the salesman asks for order, Simbhu asks the bearer not to disturb him because he wants to watch her until he goes. He is almost the mouth piece of today youngsters. His voice modulation is really superb. He captivates the hearts of the audience when he speaks to Jessie about her saying that there is a girl in his heart. This film has taken Simbhu to another phase in his career.

Trisha is cute and exceptionally captured the hearts of the audience. Her mischievous look and her body language are really incredible. In some of the sequences it can visibly seen that there were stiff competition where Simbhu and Trisha are in dialogues in the climax sequences.The dialogues in the film are very realistic and Gowtham has given Simbhu a good scope to bring out his hidden acting talents.

There is no need to speak much about A R Rahman's music. The songs of this film have already become popular. The lead guitar right from the beginning journeys throughout the film with us. The songs Omana Penne and Hosanna are fantastic. Rahman has once again ruled his dynasty with elegance. It definitely makes one to hum the songs while coming out of the theatres.

There are no words to describe the camera work of Manoj. He had earlier shown his coolness in the film Eeram. He had excelled in this film.

On the whole Gowtham Vasudev Menon has given a cute and sweet musical romantic film.
